This Privacy Policy applies to the Sandwich, Soup or Salad? mobile application (Android / iOS) and website (https://sandwich-soup-salad.web.app).

We do not access your device contacts, microphone, camera, or precise geolocation.
We do not require you to create an account or log in.
We do not sell or share your data with data brokers or advertising networks.

2. Search Queries & AI Processing

When you submit an item or concept to be classified:

The text query you enter (e.g. "Cereal", "Pizza", "Tiramisu") is processed either entirely offline (for canonical debates) or transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS to Google Gemini AI (Google Generative Language API) to generate the classification verdict and humorous justification.
No identifiers linking queries to your identity or device are sent to Google AI.

3. Photos & Image Sharing Permission

On mobile devices, if you choose to use the "Share" feature to share or save a verdict card:

The application generates a temporary snapshot image of the verdict card directly on your device.
Storage / photo library access is used exclusively to facilitate saving or sharing the image via your device's native sharing sheet. No photos from your photo library are accessed, uploaded, or transmitted.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Because we do not collect personal data or maintain user accounts, no personal information is retained or stored on our servers. Queries processed by Google Gemini AI are subject to Google's standard AI privacy policies and API terms.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR)

Our application is an entertainment and trivia tool suitable for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.
